Default CF shaft question.

Okay I got a carbon fiber shaft in the mail today for my Hummer and when I went to install it I used the red center gears from the 4x4 kit and the gears wont go on all the way. I spent like and hour trying to figure out what was wrong and I couldn't, then when I put back in the stock shaft, the gears went on fine. I measured and the shafts are the same length

it quite possibly could be that the CF ones D ends may need some filing down a bit to fit the gears on. a little vaseline will work too.

i had this problem too, but it wasnt only the the straight part on the d end, the entire thing needed to be sanded down. like the rounded part on the d end too.

However it was only on one side of mine that needed to be sanded down the other was fine...

Uhhhh, no we don't. At least we don't with spelling that poor.

Really, though... I figured you were meaning that the cut-out part was too small, or that not enough was cut out. I just had to look past that awful grammar.

And, yes, many custom parts will need a bit of sanding, scraping, and tweaking to fit just right.
