went to my local RS, the had an AWD and Lithium Ion upgrade kit but no starter kit. the guy said there may be some starter kits in the last shipment but because he was the only one working there until 1 he wouldnt be able to check as he would leave the store unattended. i'll go back later today and see

1. no, it heavier
2. i have not "fire" this Xmods up yet... from the tear down.. the spring & shock is disappointing.
3. chassis is BEEFY and solid
4. GEARING changing... sadly, this will be a custom job. STOCK out of the box... this car is FULL REAR Wheel drive..no LSD, differential, gears....

NO bearings? No lock nut for rims?
I guess i will never taste it then.... fail...

only hope is there will be an upgrade from Radioshack to make it like the older generations or GPM make it happen to have kncuckles with bearings and removable rims/tires likes older xmods/miniz's.

That by itself is a fail.

maybe radio shack will come out with upgrades only thing it's bigger then the old xmods and mini z's i guess no ma-010 killer here.like how radio shack listened to there customers lol

Just picked one up not bad so far going to pick up the lipo battery to see if i can make it faster. The only thing that i hope that they come out with is knuckles to take bearings that's all it is missing for now and a spring set.the body sits very nice on the body it looks like the size of the 2 wheel drive carson so maybe they will come out with the lambo. Audi & Porsche bodies

Well I sent back an email to them telling to basically rescale these xmods to their original size and make it more like the EVO/GEN1 xmods... I hope everyone in the community does this and hopefully it might have some impact.

im looking at my car now and i think when the hop ups come out it will be a great car.It is like when i bought the evo's it drove like crap with the wobble wheels but once i put bearings in it and the faster motor the car was great. So hopefully RS comes out with the AWD and bearings to go with the lipo batteries.

But every one has to email RS and ask for a better radio make it so it has 3 model so the costumer can have the buggy and car with one radio or 2 cars

the rims and tires are the same size as the xray m18 but m18 are a little wider

You guys are being too optomistic about these hop ups you want. They aren't coming. I have learned over the years that rs doesn't care about toys anymore.

When I got my first xmod I was 7. That was in 05 things where different then. Kids where interested in tinkering and hadent been sucked into technology quite yet. Kids arent interested in physical toys anymore. There's an app for that.....

They aren't going to put rescources into a toy marked to kids that they are going to get this for christmas use once and put it in the closet. Most of the people on this forum are older than 14. We are young adults asking a electronic compqny to make a kids toy that is fun for adults to and too hard to use for kids

That is your opinion! I respect that! In today's world theres is an app for anything... when they make an app made of women i want 3 app's! To have 4 pussies whenever i go!

Anyway.. only thing they had to make was releasing the same evo street version in 2.4ghz...with other licensed cars, period.

Everybody will be happy. They, because no research and development down the drain to waste $, and customers who loved the older gen's go now for the new's.
Let's hope on "****" that GPM grabs the case and start to make aftermarket upgrades.
Otherwise, nice goal Radioshack! Keep it to the RIP of xmods!

I highly doubt that will happen as they have already invested in these cars at this scale. They're not going to spend more money on this generation of XMODS in order to get the scale back down. They were created this size for a reason.
