Nitro Picture Thread
Hey guys... I thought I'd open up a thread here in the nitro section since no one has posted here yet...
Rules: Nothing over 800x600 pixels. Okay, I'll start it off! My AE RC10GT2 the day I purchased it: Swapped out the stock transmitter and receiver for my Airtronics MX-3. Note the 10% Break-in fuel: Polished my hinge-pins (great mod! Frees up binding suspension): Turbuckles! (blue = titanium, black = steel). The long ones on top are for my GT2, the short ones are for my RC10B4 (electric 2WD buggy): Did some minor mods after I repaired my front top-plate and sub-chassis. Long-time R/Cers should spot the mods/parts: And I just wanted to post the NICEST fuel-line setup I have ever seen on a GT2: |

Its slightly more expensive by between $5-15 compared to domestic fuels (O'Donnell, Byron's, Sidewinder, etc), since its imported from The Netherlands (wait 'till Sweed reads this lol). Compared to domestic fuels of the same nitromethane percentage, Tornado has more kick. For example, I used 10% for break-in. That 10% from Tornado feels like a 15% from domestic fuels. My girlfriend's sister uses Tornado 20% in her GT2 and eats other GT2 RTRs running 20% domestic fuels. She does keep excellent pace and sometimes edges out guys running 25% O'Donnell. |

Hm, really? Maybe Norway will start selling fuel now that they (finally..) tapped into the Natural Gas in the Artic. But it's gonna have like 60% tax on it... Anyone heard of Statoil?

Well, I'm just getting into the 1/8th scale buggies so I picked up a mint condition Mugen Seiki MBX-4 to use as a learner car. It's presently just a roller and still needs a ton of things before it's ready to go but that will change over the winter.
It's an older buggy but should do me pretty good for a bit. |

I actually traded my Micro-T with a few upgrades for it. So, I think I did pretty good. It's still on the way in the mail, I will post some more pics once I get it and clean it up a little.
EDIT: And it's also coming with an extra set of new tires and rims. |

Im kinda rather new at the Nitro RCs but back in july i bought my first one... a Traxxas Jato 3.3... Immedeatly after i broke it in my friend Anchor cut off my jato, traveling at break neck speeds of 62.4 mph(we had a Radar Gun), with his GT2 and after the collision the jato went into a violent Cart-wheel spree...
Jato damage: the front shock mount and both front A-arms shattered on impact; the front of the chassis, both camber links, and the toe links were bent or broken; the front springs were smashed, the fuel tank was cracked, the pipe was bent, and to top it all off the head was cracked. GT2 damage: broken battery box, a bent driveshaft, a broken rear spring tower, and a stripped wheel spindle. Repairs were about $500 for the jato and like $59.99 for the GT2 Now its got a competely rebuilt chassis with RPM and TRX parts and a '73 Bronco Body.
