Default Gen1 Nissan GTR Gen1 Yellow to Black by "targetingxmod"

Yellow X-mod Car GEN1 new from Portugal!

I got myself this "present" for the next project!

A brand new X-mod Gen1 out of the box!

-In the box!

-Back of the box!

-Inside the box!

-Getting out!

And now gona start thinking where to find upgrades... as they are rare this days!

First impression:
-It's a evolution toy, not a real RC car. But aftermarket itens surprass that!
-It's loud when playing!
-Very poor steering angle!
-It's got an abosulte potencial for upgrades!

You all know that...

That's it for now!

-Very cheap this one... 2,49€, i think! bought two!

-Start to find what to do!

-The conic gear already?

-2WD out 4WD in!

-Installed

Much better now... only the crap steering response is driving me crazy!
But in the end it will pay off! (z gen1 )

I don't know all, but i know something...

so miniz pcb's...

-AM 27mhz , handle 7.4v 2s li-po! Safe! On the long run, you should get some potenciometer's because the high voltage screw them faster! But it takes more than a couple of years!

-2,4ghz boards.... hum... li-fe power 6.6v are made for 2.4ghz miniz pcb. More volts? never tried.... but saw on youtube an miniz buggy with 7.4v 2s li-pos don't know how much time it will work... but i guess it will not blow on the first charge

hope that helps...

-Even a stock motor beggs for this kind of POWER, a better motor for now is impossible... dont know how to remove the pinions... but i will find a way.. I HOPE :halo:

Ok, more time resulted in this...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h_ZvJCS4itw
-This is a video of the car with the Gen1 PCB and 4x4 kit and lithium with 11tooth gear.... not running on ground

-Workbench....

-Gen1 PCB out....

-Evo PCB with 2x3 stacked fets from my yellow hummer!

-Conections... all good...

-Shrink heat tape on soldered wires...

-The Evo board on the Gen1 chassis.... and it works!!!!!!!!!

Problem is reversed steering... when i checked everything on the servo... it goes to right the horn... but on the car horn to right means tires to left ...
no problem, just switch the remote!:scholar:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NZzloN5YJDM
-And a video of the Evo board connected to the Gen1 car.... it works!!!!!!! Better than the stock.... 2x3 fets give some punch... even with stock motor!

More videos of the evo board working on the gen1 chassis!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rYVLr82Xxdc
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_qh6KYeKUi8

My stress for the GEN1, is now on the working progress...

-Hammer it  I used a old motor arm and puted the metal pinion that i get out from the 8 gear motor with a hammer.
-Then i GET out "again" the pinion with a pinion puller...
-And puted the pinion on a new racing motor .... by hand, it was very hard, but doable...

-In the almost end... i used a vice.

-With some tape and metal ring/shims "whatever" for the shaft get out a little....

-And it's done.... I am so happy now! :halo:

-The tape used, and the final job done!

-And breaking the new motor in!

Need time to put this on the GEN1. I am passing from 26.000rpm motor on 4.8v which should be more on 6.6v... to 41.000rpm on 4,8v... which indeed with 6.6v give .... more rpm's

-Got time to put the Z2 on the Gen1....

-Installed....

-What a beast... that's loud and speedy :gun3:

-Z2 atomic motor on the Gen1 with evo board

Can't control it... to much power... maybe the pcb on top should have the culp right!

In front wheels i got the "smaller" ones, with normal tires.... i decided that is time for a bigger ones in front...

-See the diference? I do!

-Alloy Suspension for front!

-I guess plastic in front is go say, BYE!

-Yep... goodbye....

-And the work in progress opcorn:

more to come...:bored:

-Front knuckles....

-A must to have and FIND!!

-And when installed it looks like this...

-Sweet for the eye and awsome to drive :::

Now that the front is done, let's go to the back....

-Back out... plastics don't belong here, anymore....

-All the stuff that is going in...

-Installing of all of that....

-And all together....

Next step is electronics...
