ok guys, some of you may have seen the thread last night but for those who didnt, let me explain a little.
it appears as though we have some gamblers on the forum.
we all got to talking and figured why not place a lasting bet on the future of Xmods since everyone has their own opinion of what should/will happen.

the way this is going to work is you place a fully detailed bet on what you think the outcome will be along with your wager.
Dec 1, 2008 is the deadline.
if no new Xmods are released then the house takes the pot to offer as prizes for future COTM's. XMS and it's staff gains nothing from this, it will all go back into the forums through prizes with one person holding the pot.

if RS does come out with a new line then whoever guesses the closest to the first released cars takes the pot.
if there is a tie then it will go on to the next wave of cars released(since RS likes to release them in 2's and 3's)

rules:
1. bets must be equal in worth.(or as close as can be with the offers(will be closely moderated))

2. bets must be posted in this thread only.

3. limit of 7 vehicle options.(2 trucks and 5 cars)

4. bets must be fully detailed as to what you think will happen.

5. if the thread turns into a hot topic and more people offer ante's then the pot will go to the person who is the closest with the most correct cars at the initial release.

6. if a new line doesnt come out then everyone who bets owes XMS and 100% of the offerings will be collected for future comps.

7. if you reneg on your bet you get a perma ban.

8.GENERAL FORUM RULES APPLY!!!
no flaming,bashing,trash talking or mocking of other perticipants.

9. no RS email confimations allowed for verification.
the winner will be determined when the new line is out and the first 2-3 cars are released to the public via RS' website.

10.bet small scale R/C only.(1:10-1:36)

11. do not bet the same as someone before you.
please read the previous bets to make sure. we will not split the pot.
if there are bets that are the same and they guessed right then the first person that posted it will take it

if your going to bet then only bet what you can afford to lose. just like if you go fishing in open water.....dont take what your not willing to lose....
obviously peoples opinions are going to vary on what's worth what but if we keep it it in the general ballpark then there shouldnt be any problems.
if you post a bet, there's no turning back.

dont bother asking to have your post removed from it.
it wont happen.
if you sell or trade your offering before the deadline then you will be banned.

this could be a very interesting thread.
it could also turn into a bad situation for some.
so, i want you all to think long and hard before you hit that submit button on this one.

im doing this to keep this option from coming up every other post.

again, if december rolls around and their are no new Xmods on the shelves then the house takes the pot and puts it towards prizes for future comps.

Just saying, no way in hell the Pontiac Aztek will come out. Great crossover SUV, really started the craze, but my god is it ugly.

Car bets:
1. NO MUSTANGS, what so ever.
2. C6 Corvette in some variation (base, Z06, or ZR1)
3. Nissan GTR
4. New Dodge Challenger
5. New Mitsu Evo

Trucks:
1. New Silverado/Sierra (primarily because the general hate the Tundra holds in the truck world, and it's falure-tastic 1st year)
2. The next gen F150.

I'll put up the S10. Minus the aoshima tires, their hard enough to find and I paid some wealthy green backs for them. The gear box is siezed, but I can toss another one in before the end of the comp. The Crawler that brought in the Tamiya gearbox.

I'll be ****ed if another doesn't come out.

i have a question can u bet that there will be no new xmods? also do u have to put up xmods or xmods stuff can u put money or items like a ps2 or something that u are willing 2 risk? if i was to be right about not having any new xmods what would i win? because i didn't full y understand your original post.

The house is XMS. That bet is taken. Can't bet that none will come out:

Please consider this. Other betters are putting up things of higher value... Alteast put a running chassis on one or something.

BLT-Gotta make a bet someone else hasn't. Like Blue504 says they'll be another mustang. Or do like Bondo and I did, and make a short list, 5 cars, and 2 trucks. Betters your chances too.

Hey, until they are in store or on RS website, there is nothing conclusive. Even with the "e-mail", there is still one open possibility.
