Oh joy... More new members with their horrible grammar...
Anyway. Yes, you did fry your FETs. Its possible that you wired it wrong or something. It would help if you had a link or a better description of the lithiums that you used. If you are any good at soldering, then the board is repairable, if not, you might want to get someone here to fix it. I could give you a better an answer if you were able to explain your problem a little more clearly. |

Maybe you didn't solder something well and it shorted on another joint or wire, but kept running after that. Causing everything to be extremely hot and weird. Lithium shouldn't fry FETs. You can buy new FETs on just about every xmods store. My store carries Evolution FET upgrade, if you need it.

well you did fry your FETs and you'll need new ones.... and when you get batteries get Ni-MH precharged from radio shack they last long and they requier very little modification... and to fix your FETs i would suggest just getting a pro board so that you got the full power of your upgrades

the bats were too powerful for the crappy high resistance FETs therefore they fried :-)

wow how much more assumption can you get?
well, try a. buy a new board (xmodsinternational has these, or you can search xmods SKU RSU here on xmodsource to find the sku for ordering a stock board from radioshack...atomicmods is out cuz its so darn expensive) and replace liths with NiMH rechargeables(try energizer AAA's) b. buy a stacked board from atomic c. buy a 2x2-2x3 fet stack upgrade(make sure its for the evo) and solder it on(follow the instructions on the atomicmods site. http://www.atomicmods.com/Categories...tallation.aspx and make sure you don't bridge the whole backside with solder. try to be as neat as possible with this and only solder along each line of prongs.) d. get a new board and a v2.2. v2.2 instructions are also on atomicmods.com and make sure you follow the wiring exactly

Well, any liths can do that if you dont treat them right. When I used to airsoft, I saw plenty of lithium fires, and those are worse, because the fire is right next to your arm!
The ebay liths are probably a lower quality, which increases the possibility of fires. |
