Lower your COG (center of gravity) before you do anything in terms of actual crawling. Having that stick pack up above like that is just going to throw you sideways at any given opportunity. Try placing the pack over the front or rear axle for a lower COG.

Welcome to the crawling scene. I'm sure you'll love it!

Cheers,
Kyle.

i know that the batt is high i plan on buying the saddle packs the one with 8 batts i think but this stick pack will do for now until christmas comes around. but i do like it except when you put everything together in one night than your hands hurt it mine hurt so bad that i didn't even want to go get batteries for the remote. but yea later on you may see some diffrent upgrades on it but the betty body isn't my first choice but i may go with the k10 chevy.

Nice. You tested it yet? Like donzii said your COG is way too high. If you are crawling up hill a lot, try shifting the COG to the front to keep the front end down.

yea this thing rocks, the fifty-five has some major torque but not as much as Donzii's brushless setup. and for the COG i already did that, and it affect the weight distribution alot but it helped alot but i plan on getting the 8-cell saddle packs to save some room and use the stick pack as a back up for just normal playing just climbing things. but i plan on getting softer springs for more flex cause the super firm that come with it are really hard to keep traction when crawling, and maybe a rear steer kit, so i can go up against a buddy of mine at our local hobby shop.

Edit: Action Pics.

Pretty big of a Bump of a couple months right? well its kinda important well to me anyways, well i let my Axial sit on the shelf over christmas and i've been busy for awhile and i had time today to play with it so i charged my battery as i was doing that i bought a TCS X-trail Chassis and i got it couple days ago and i decided while the battery was charging why not put it on so i did then forgot the servo was broken so i went to a lhs and bought a new one so it was ready to go. So battery charged i took it outside since it was nice out and lots of mud but i thought that if i got it stuck i couldn't get it so i didn't but went crawling at a friends with it. well on the way home i stopped at the park and i played with it on the rocks then when i was leaving i decided to take it through the line i used once more but i saw the truck was acting weird so i go home look it over and i find the outdrive shaft was broken completely off im a little mad so found replacements for 21.99 crazy price to me. So the truck is out if commission(sp?) for awhile now but it was the greatest time i had from the past couple weeks. well enough talking ill show some pics of the damage.

PICS
1st. Pic of the Transmission still in the truck with broken outdrive shaft.(dirty from crawling)

2nd. Pic of the Whole truck with the TCS X-Trail chassis.

3rd. Pic of broken outdrive shaft.

** if anybody can supply me of a replacement part that would be greatful**
hope mods don't mind

thats a bummer. my next crawler will most likely be a ax10 , and hopefully ill get it here soon for a dirt cheep price! you must have had some serious torque on that thing to make it snap like that.

i don't know about a dirt cheap price my friend wanted to buy mine for $10 he even said i got it from radio shack and i was like you do not say that about a hobby grade and i slapped him right across the face but anyways, it surprised me it broke to cause it was going up an incline and the truck jerked back so i thought it just hit a little patch of ice but i guess it broke so out come more money to buy this beast another one.
