whoa.......how did I not see this. That kit looks absolutely amazing! I don't really know how to make a battery pack like that though and I don't have a charger with a dean plug to use either. I'd just like the front suspension setup It looks so nice!!! This must shed a TON of weight off an Evo xmod.

I could help with that sort of stuff. I think a tutorial may be in order. Also I have dean plugs in stock so if you need one....

Yeah I'll be waiting for this one. With the xmod parts shortage we'll need something that'll keep our cars running and using MA-010 parts sounds like the best idea there is.

Looking at the chassis more....I think I'd like to keep the normal chassis and only use the front and rear suspension mods. I think that would keep it simple for those who don't want to change out the whole PCB setup. Hopefully he can make just the front and rear for people to use if they don't want the whole kit. I don't want the hassle of using soldered battery packs and not the simplicity of popping out cells individually.

The front and rear will fit the stock chassis.

Yeah thats what I figured after taking a look at the parts on the underside pics in the other thread. Can't wait to use MA-010 parts, looks like a gateway to reliability and longevity for the xmod Evo lol

Hey guys, Im still gone but Ill be back in a couple months. The parts have already been manufactured (3 prototype sets) there were a couple changes I need to adjust, so as soon as I get back the kit will be mass produced (a run of 20...LOL) it is a cool kit.

It originally was just the front and rear adapter kit... it evolved into the whole chassis. The parts are made to just fit on the front and rear, so the answer is YES... you can just use the front/rear MA010 adapter kit without the main chassis plate. The prototyped worked pretty good, but the knuckeles tended to slip out somtimes, so I had to change the thikness and spacing a bit.. those were the changes I noted after testing the prototype. after the changes are made the new kit will be very effective.

It was originally a 3d part, but due to expensive cost, I had to do it in 2d layers. I would love to find some one who could make it from aluminum in 3d, it would be even cleaner and nicer then... the cost is just to much right now. The ABS seems to be very nice though. we will see.. If I could bond delrin layers together I would use that, but it doesn't bond well to itself, I will do some further investigation when I get back. Expect them available for Xmas 2010. Take care guys.

No news really. I have picked it up and looked it over for old time sake, but I will get to finishing it up first thing after the Holidays. That's a guarentee, Im planning to look into finding some one who can cut it 3D out of Billet Aluminum.... That is my desire, we will see how the cost is.
