Default Have a new Evo titan but somethings wrong

Hola, i just got a titan today but For some reasson the steering is odd, it twitchs when i try to stear, or half the time it wont stear at all or stay in right or left, or make a odd humming noise. granted i get to do some wild donuts but that gets boring after awhile.. However this is not the first time, i owned 3 first gen xmods in the past but took back two due to the same thing.. got a new one hoping that this curse of steering oddness would end but it went on, i could not take that one back due to guerentee gone dead.

i was told evos are better and such so i gave it one last try, but again it happens.. so is it me or the danmed xmod? Lol

Please any help would be greatful! what can i do? is there a upgrade or mod i need to get?

how long have you had it, it most likely is that there is dirt in the tierod, if it`s not that servo just needs to be broken in, I had that problem when I first got my mustang.

How much humming is coming from the servo? Because some noise is normal.

Are your wheels getting stuck on the body of the car? if so that could very easily be your problem.

Its probably you

The humming or buzzing noises is the servo trying to 'zero' itself.

Zero it self out?

Im sorry, i dont know that much about all the insides of the xmods. a few years ago when i first got into the old ones i just wanted something i can custamize with my hearts content and race around.

My normal RC cars can steer like a dream however with this little guy its differnt. sometimes i though it might be due to lack of power.. im using four new everyready gold batteries.. are they strong enough? or crapy pieaces of junk? i also had an idea of adding a few more batteries since it has a truck bed.. could that help? Just random ideas thats been popping in my head.

The servo trying to 'zero' itself out means that its trying to re-center (point straight) or paint wherever your transmitter's stepping is.

Say you turn your transmitter wheel 30 degrees to the right, the xmods have 256 stepping, so we'll assume that your servo turns to its 210 step and your wheel is jammed so that it cannot turn as far as it wants to, say only at its 205th step. The servo will make a buzzing or humming noise as it tries to force that wheel to turn so that the servo ends up at its 210th step.

Its a bit hard to explain, sorry.

I kinda understand to be truthful. How i have this odd feeling that its the batteries, that its not getting enough juice to steer its tires, however it can go forward and backward like a dream. Little small hole? well theres something to hunt for Lol

they never go straight perfectly out of the box, use the steering adjustment buttons on the controller...

Also the noises you hear are normal, if u pick it up, turn and let go of the stearing wheel, it will do it too.

no no, they're getting enough juice. The problem is that the xmod servos are 'toy' servos and were designed rather weak.

Oddly enough the only one of my Xmods that does the exact thing you are describing is the one that is getting the most power from the batteries.
