Bumblebee owners, lower that front without hacking up your clip!
I've found a way to lower the front without hacking up the clip on the Bumblebee, there is slight trimming needed on the clip, but you don't need to cut it into two pieces and re-glue it back together and stuff like that either.
What you need: Phillips screwdriver Two Gen 1 bearings or two small Evo bearings Hobby knife, but dremel preferred. Warning: If you have the slammed wheel and tire upgrade, your car will not be driveable with the body on after doing this. I didn't take any during pictures, because I just randomly decided to do it and didn't even think about taking pictures. We all know what a stock Bumblebee looks like, the front sits a bit high IMO.. After pictures: I threw on the drift wheels because they are closer to normal size, and my Bumblebee wheels were harder to get to, these were the first I saw. As you can see, the car sits very nicely after modifying the front. So, here's what I did: I flipped the front clip over, obviously that would lower it too much. So, I spaced it up with a couple bearings, was able to use the regular screws. Now, for the trimming: I had to take a little off of each corner to make the body sit on there more flush. The end result is more than worth it, and the car is still driveable, as proved in this video: That is the ONLY time the car will ever be driven with the body on, just to make it a point to show you guys that it can be driven. Mine Bumblebee body is a shelf queen. The chassis gets driven though. Edit: Man, I just noticed my front gear cover is cracked! Last edited by ling427ttvette; 03-02-2008 at 03:25 PM.. |

I didn't couch it, I feel their plenty low. Just through the suspension lowering kit onto the front to help tuck the slammed wheel and tires up more.

Pictures? I have the slammed wheels on mine normally, so it wouldn't fit if I did that.
