Yes! I've finally come across a beater hakosuka! I won't disclose how much I paid for it, but it was very reasonable.

IT LOOKS SO TRASHY D:
the flaws in this body:
- missing foglight? lens on front
- cracked rear window
- NO SPOILER (not hard to make, but im going spoilerless)
- the fenders were cut up HORRIBLY.
- scratches so deep and abundant on the roof that you'd think this was a cat's ball of yarn.

but after days of putty and sanding...

one side with 75% completed fender

other fender still in progress

smoothest roof in the world.

No one with a hakosuka, custom made or straight out of the box, has ever painted the middle section of the taillights silver. It was my OCD that kicked in, as well as my love for the car itself, that I just HAD to do whats right.

comparison of my custom vs shakotan boogie

and for the grille, I trimmed off the headlights and some excess plastic to be more realistic, as seen here:

More coming up:
-front and rear chrome bumper bars
-factory grille
-factory headlights
-paint (going for a monochrome colorscheme again, like all my cars)

pretty much like:

Comments and criticism welcome!

Update:

Thanks for the kind words, everyone!

Attempting to make the factory grille. There are better methods than what im doing, so if I get the motivation to,
I may just remake this.

^ note that on this picture, it doesnt seem to fit on the sides, but thats because I have to bend this a little. You'll see when im done

im going to find a brush-on super glue and apply it on this so that it keeps that bend, as well as filling in those cracks.

@ White; yeeeees, that was all x-acto knife. :P thanks haha.
sadly, i lost that front grille, so i have to remake it.

some kind of update:

decent paintjob for my liking. sure looks like crap now, but im almost done. those fenders might stay the same.

i went for more of an autocross/street look.
and i painted the rear view light housing around it silver metallic. not too visible, but thats fine LOL.

OH and heres work on the front bar:

random update:
got bored a couple nights, randomly worked on this.

(^ take note that this pic has 0 deg. camber knuckles. imagine how 4.5 would've looked!)
the headlights are nowhere near perfect, but im just messing around with it.
also, im cutting down the fenders to make it look less bulky/cartoony and more realistic.
