i wouldnt use old paint or threstor it sucks. never use there clear either.
for primer i use the cheep walmart kind in a rattle can then for the base i use krylon. and the i norm use krylon clear tooo its dries faster and sprays better too. but sand it down to the old red get it clean and smooth then tape off your windows and such but take your time and listen to what bondo says he knows his ****.

err why u think i stopped this.. i know bondo knows his stuff... i stopped cause i never started off well.. i think im gonna use white as a primer.. and testors paint sticks very well.. well at least the new one should.. i painted some rims with it.. and it stuck very well, nice and smooth

white primer or just white paint as primer?

idk yet.. lol i need the money for a primer.. i do have a indy silver paint i can use a a primer.. better yet.. just not prime it, and get a darker effect

well "primer" isnt just paint its used to help get the base to stick to the palstic. regular piant isnt primer. make sure the can says primer on it. other wise your just painting over paint

update:
im done with the mod mounting!, took it for a test drive outside yesterday with a jump.. fliped a couple times.. only if my camera was charged but i do have a test drive vid on carpet... runs very well
its basicly... truck front knuckle screws(you need spacers up front) and truck soft springs.. compressed to fit the car set-up, nothing special

as you see, i used a 2-56 nut from RS as a spacer.. it was the perfect spacing needed)

yup told yeah the paint was to thick.

yea.. still smooth tho... i would sand it , but its raining outside, and i gont have anywhere else to sand it
