Default How to make a case organizer

Have you ever had your items jumbled around in your XMODS R/C plastic case? For some odd reason, Radioshack neglected to give you some organizers, so your contents always seem to get mixed up when you carry your case. This tutorial should remedy that.

This tutorial (should) teach you how to make a simple organizer for your XMODS R/C plastic storage case. It proves very handy when you are on-the-go or making a permanent storage compartment for parts.

You will need:

-XMODS plastic case
-Styrofoam, Cardboard, or other similar material
Note: Do not use glue on Styrofoam, it will melt it, like PB Blaster.

Step 1

Gather your materials and open the case. Grab one of your pieces and place it in the position you want it. You will need to carefully break off the excess, using hands or scissors. (hands are best for Styrofoam)

Step 2

Carefully press your piece in, (cardboard and Styrofoam will become unusable very easily if broken or bent) You may need to remove more. However, if you have taken off to much, you can use small bits of your material to fill in the gaps and make a tight seal, so no little screws, nuts, or etc. escape.

Step 3

Now, repeat the steps to create more organizers, and then add your items.

Notes:

-The taller your pieces are, the less likely your contents are to get jumbled.
-Do not use any glues on Styrofoam, it is likely that it will melt.
-Enjoy your organized case!
