Default '55 Chevy Cameo (56K killer)

here is my latest project (no i havnt given up on "free 'low'-der", its just on the shelf till i finish this one)

it's a 1955 Chevrolet Cameo pickup truck. i decided to go a little different direction with this and will be going for the "hot-rod" look. supercharger, blower intake, huge rims (bigger than slammed rims) and a sweet paint job.

progress pics:

and most recently, this is how it sits for now (everything is still just mocked up)

I agree. Most cars or trucks with blowers do not have huge tires all around. Looks nice though...even if it is just a mock up.

i'll see what i can do, i'll have to trim the ridges off the rims underneath the tires and try to fit some other ones to it. they probably wont be much thinner though.

Have any plans to stretch the wheelbase? Looks a little short compared the body.

Those rims are huge. I like it. What are your ideas for paint?

*****en engine, just not diggin' the rims... But you know me.

When are you thinking of painting? Weather has been hell down here between the cold and the humidity and fog.

i will be doing a partial interior (dash, steering wheel, and half of the seat back, the hood wont open though, it will be glued shut, so the most of the engine that it will have is what you see sticking out of the hood. i will be installing head/tail lights though, and no it doesnt turn with the body that low.

more to come tmrw, it should be close to being finished, if not finished by tmrw afternoon

Do you plan on making it able to turn or is it going to be for the shelf.

its just for show, i may not even be using the body after the competition im making it for is over. and if i do it will just be on display. it is driveable though, just not with the body that low, i have to raise the front end for it to turn

here's a little hint at what the paint job design could have been if i had more time to finish this thing

The flames look pretty good - like the subtle distinction.
