Default Project ; Make-over.

Well most of you know I bought Mycror's xmods lot awhile back.

Out of all of the xmod bodies that I think deserved a make-over the most is.................

The XMODS Generation 1, Honda Civic.

My plans with this, seeing as I had a Civic before, and at that, the same body colour. Black.

However, the final outcome will not be black. However, here's my plans now.

-Fix all of the holes that were drilled into the body.
-Find Civic mirrors, and attempt to fix the overly enlarged mirror slot.
-Locate Civic both front headlamp lenses'.
-Create an extreme kit for the Civic, so it will have the following ; Stock, Mild, Wild, and an Extreme body kit selection.
-Repaint the Civic after all of the crap above is done.
-Find some rims that look good on the Civic, if at all possible.(A second set that will work for the extreme kit also.
-After all body-work is done, chassis mods.... 6-cell, locked rear diff or a custom hand made AWD system(Might include a driveshaft if I cannot locate a long one.)
-Lights perhaps.
-Rework the suspension all around.

Enough talk, here's what it looks like right now.

I have removed the putty to fill the holes in properly.
I have cut up a stock Civic front bumper for the extreme front bumper.
Using stock side skirts to make the extreme side skirts.
Using a Wild rear bumper to make the extreme rear bumper.

That's it for now, hope to get the front bumper somewhat started tomorrow after work.

Tom.

Hahahahahahahaha, well then... No wonder why it came off so much easier than normal putty. I thought it was Testors Contour Putty lol.

And yes, I do believe I took a picture of the good stock front bumper to the new custom one. You'll see how much was cut off soon...

That is what I thought for the longest time also, I didn't really know why they were there to begin with, but some of the other bodies have holes in them also, that I have to fix if I want too that is... Mycror says it's meant for cooling purposes, but I don't want it lol.

Thanks bud! I'm hoping the outcome is good haha.. I thought it would be on the unique side, because I have never seen anyone do a removable bodykit, that of course is custom and be able to keep the other body-kit and be able to swap/change the items around. The colour I was thinking about is a Gun Metal Grey, or a Graphite.

Haha thanks Songha! The yellow part isn't really my taste haha. I am hoping this does come out on the good side for sure. The holes, like I said.. Cooling purposes lmao. The front bumper already looks pretty good in my opinion, a little too... Happy? May I say...

Anyhow, enough talking... I know you guys are wanting pictures.

From start to current state.

(Lots cut for sure.)

That's about it for now... I'm going to fill in the holes with some more of the WoW cards I have laying around(good thing I kept them.)

Then I will get started on making the sideskirts. Problem is, it's going to be on the hard side of things, so I may have to use tape on the front fenders so I can, glue onto the tape, and hope it doesn't bleed through and attach to the body, if it does I will be well... You know... COMPLETEY FUBAR'D!

Haha thanks, yeah sure does beat trying to make it with putty right now. Which is, yes on it's way after I get everything done and properly reinforced.

Here's the front bumper, pretty much 95% complete with the cards on the front bumper now!

Here's all of the pieces side by side for the front bumpers.

Just for reassurance, I wrote which was which over top of each bumper.

Stock...Mild...Wild...Extreme!

That's all for tonight/this morning, more to come when I get some sleep and after I find my fibreglass matting.

Only for you.

Haha thanks man.

Bumper is 99.5% done if I choose to make it so the side skirt meets the front bumper arch(will be made after) or 100% if I just make the entire side skirt roll the front arches.

This is my problem here right now... If I go with rolled arches, it's harder on making them. If I go with a more square box like fender then it will be easier overall.
