Definately one of the unique projects out there.
Good job so far, take your time and don't rush it. It's coming along nicely.

Looking forward to updates.

Later, T.I.M

Another update!
(Progress is slow; exams are this week for me.)

re-sculpted body lines, rear rework so that bumpers can be swapped
sideskirt work, and some paint removal (hence nail polish remover)

camera likes to distort my lines, but i can assure you the rear is straight.
also that sideskirt, its smoother, not jagged

thanks for the comments everyone! keep em coming

If I remember it was white and he repainted it... either way you can see the sleek work on the front bumper.

another update

reworked the front bumper

and HERE...is where it sits...80% done with body work, and electronics are almost there! just need to fix a motor (god, I got flamed hardcore for saying engine rather than motor) mount, or buy one of those longer motors o_O whats the size? its basically the same as the xmods one, only with a longer case?

Those motors have LOADS of torque. I'll recommend it for drifting !

This build has came a long way ! I really like how the body lines are matched up perfectly ! Can't wait for paint !

I was able to custom make a driveshaft which was 1/2 metal, 3/8 bamboo, 1/8 pen thing, and putty.
drifts like a charm!

My biggest downfall in the process of this project....
...is not taking my time.

-ended up eager to see the final result, so i painted it black.
(i wanted white, but turns out i used that up on an old lexan body)
-again, i rushed, so the paint didnt come out the best.
-it also helped see SO MUCH MORE flaws than expected:
roof, door panels, and sanding marks... everything else is alright i guess.

so here it is, with horribly simulated drift damage.

i just needa get my hands on a neighbour's dremel, and then ill work on it again. C&C

yes, you need a proper 1 piece driveshaft...
maybe you'd like to sand it and fix all the little flaws, then paint it white and print out the Blitz decals on decal paper to apply?
it does look pretty good. maybe work on the windows a bit, like, make a pillar and make the window glass on the back window

its not that easy (at least for me) to come across a one piece driveshaft thats one
unit larger than the long gen.1 driveshaft. plus, the driveshaft's perfect.
i took it off a friend's broken custom ryds (if youve heard of it LOL), which
had a really short driveshaft, but this one little thing sticking out that made
it act like a plug. so yeah...if i have the time, ill disassemble and post pics of it.

as for blitz decals, imo i rather keep the car clean and free of decals.
not a big fan of decals.

sanding is my priority, but wont be done until my summer school's finished / when i get the dremel. and the window, ill get it soontime.

thanks though

search around, and you'll prbably find somebody who will custom cut a custom length driveshaft for you.
