Default July 2008 COTM; "Truck" Competition Entry Thread:

Welcome to the July 2008 Car of the Month (COTM) competition! We will be switching it up this month.. instead of a car competition, it's going to be a truck competition!

The theme for this month is very generic. As long as it's an Xmods Evolution Truck chassis it can be entered.

Please make sure you read all of the rules. Any member caught not following a competition rule will be excluded from the competiton; both vote and entry truck.

Any questions you may have about the July 2008 COTM competition must be asked in the Discussion Thread. Any questions asked in this thread will be deleted. This is the entry thread only, no discussion.

Quote:
Rules for this Competition:
1. Chassis must be an Xmods EVO Truck. Chassis extensions are allowed.
2. There must be a non-RadioShack upgrade on your entry.
3. Must be a truck body.

Entry Rules:
Entries are due by: July 28th by 9:00PM EST!
1. Entrants are required to have been a member of Xmodsource.com for one month prior to the announcement of this month's competiton (must be a member since June 11, 2008).
2. When making a submission, you are required to submit six images. No more than seven images are allowed. One of your images must be an image of the chassis. Links to video and other pictures are allowed.
3. All members are limited to one entry.
4. A list of upgrades is required during submission.

Voting Rules:
1. A voting thread will be created on the 28th of July and the voting thread will be closed on the 1st of August. Entries must be in by the 28th of July at 9:00PM EST! Late entries are not allowed into the competition; you must be on time!
2. Voting is open to anyone who has been a member of Xmodsource.com for more than a thirty-five day period. For the July competition, in order to vote, you would have to have been a member since June 6, 2008.
3. Voting is watched very closely. Votes cast for ones own Xmod will be void, as well as members under that thirty-five day period will not be counted. Do not vote for yourself and do not make seperate accounts to vote for yourself.

Rules subject to change. Please double check before posting submission.
Thank you and good luck,
The Xmodsource Moderating Staff.

I'll try another round with my B1G R1G:

The project thread will be going up shortly but so that you know these are the modifications:

Custom Flame Paint by Bondo of SGK
Custom Grill
Custom Rear Axel with custom 4WD shaft for full time rear 4WD
SuperSlicks Monster Truck Tires and Rims
Li-Ion Powered courtesy of BLT456
Hitec HS-55 servo motor
Dual functional antennas
Numerous custom fabricated aluminum parts, e.g. motor clamp.
Servo and Board all re-wired for extra chassis length
Two XTruck rear chassis' melded together to make one rear end
Two custom CLL kits one powers all the front lights the other powers the rear spot lights.
Mock up interior.

The coolest thing is that the rear end is actually reversible so you can run either a fast motor or a crawler motor.

Oh and here is an early test run of the chassis:
