i'll try to get some pics of how it looks now along with damage pics of the bumper.
i just ruined my third nikkon this year so i have to re-locate the backup for the backup.....

i gues i've decided that i'm going to proceed with the prgress on the rest of it and worry about the bumper when it gets here.

well that's the thing.
if i'm going to do it then i want it to look as good as possible and i consume WAAAY too much coffee on a daily basis for fine brushwork like that.
i know it would look "OK" when i was done but you just dont get the crispness and detail of a decal.
bonus note though, i found some pontiac photo-etc emblems.......even better!

there's something off about that color of gold.
it looks more bronze to me.

here's the damage.


here's todays forward progress.
the kit that the headlights came from had lenses at one point but hell if i know where they are so with the help of my straight rule and some upgrade kit plastic,i made new ones.


aluminum tubing for the headlights(....oooh, fancy...)
i'm waiting for the superglue to dry and then i can tidy it up and repaint it.



BTW, here's how that RSX looks now.....

i might take you up on that depending on what kind/how many LED's i have left.

the rear IS going in the trash but not until the replacement is finished.

Totally that would be cool let me know I have white,blue,red,yellow so any amount or variation

lol maybe you can salvage something form it. or make a chew toy for the dogs out of it.

or you can put it back together badly and save it so if you ever make a trailer trash version you can use it lol.

i might be sandblasting it soon.

i got the decals on yesterday.
it's a bit dirty and some spots were sanded down but it will be fixed shortly.


and today i got the PE parts painted and some of them laid in.
this bird marks the return of the 421(sidebadge)

the fit is off on a couple of the parts and the hood looked a bit like swiss cheese with all of the air bubbles in the mold.

lol,i can understand if people skip a few lines of text here and there but the picture of the RSX is right at the top of the page you posted on.

i got a couple coats of clear on the bird simply to lock in the PE parts but this car has pretty much gone on the backburner for a bit due to a new project of secret nature... (well that and the fact that i'm kinda tired of people on the other forum saying crap about the rims..)

My only complaint is the fact that the bird goes off the hood... I would prefer it to stay all on the hood.

But, other than that, it's darn perfect!

What was said about the rims... I quite liked them... maybe painting them gold would appease the masses
