Default xmod canuck mini z garage

So I finally got an AWD Mini-Z, but I kind of went all out for my first one. And I don't think anyone will be surprised by which body I picked. I was going to get the readyset, but I found a shop where I got the chassis with the multi-offset wheels and the body for less than most places are selling the ready set. So for less money I got the multi-offset wheels as well.

And as soon as it came out of the box, on went the Team Atlas rims.

Q & C welcome.

I noticed that you have wide rims on front and rear, do they rub at all ?

The body looks great, but somethings missing. Not sure what, but something is. Can't wait till you make it POP and me drool.

Yeah, the rears are +2.5 and the fronts are +1.5 and with the atomic tires they do rub a little, but I haven't tried the v-tread tires yet as the have very rounded edges compared to the square edge atomics. I may have to find some +1.0's or +0.5's to fit better. And I'm not sure what you think might be missing but I'm not changing anything on it as I love it the way it is. I might even get one in black one day.

Thanks man. I wanted one for a long time before I finally had enough saved up to get it. I can't wait to get my controller so I can take it for a spin.

I never tried any Mini-Z tires so I have no idea what your talking about ! But holy wide STi, I would have assumed their 0.5W and 1.5W. But ****...

It's hard to explain, you know the feeling where you see something and you go "OMG ! That STi is awsome, how the body curves perfectly and such" Rather then "Wow, nice STi" Hope you understand what I'm trying to jab at. Maybe it's the pictures ? Or I'm just use to seeing them in blue.

Well there was a bit of a wait, but it was worth it. I can finally take my Z for a spin.

I'm honestly not sure what I'm going to do with this part, but it was such a great price to get the package that I almost bought 2 of them.

All paired up and ready for a spin.

And let me say after a short spin around the house, I will be getting another one one day.

I love this car. Where did you get those wheels at? I need something like that for my Z. Also, I'd be interested in purchasing the board if your considering selling. I want to convert my car to 2.4. PM me if your interested and we can hopefully work something out.

B, if you can/want to trace a fet pad ona 2.4 board, I can sell you one I have cheap (bought it cheap to maybe try and fix it, but never ended up trying to).

As far as this AWD, get some drift tires and you're SET.

The wheels are Team Atlas. I liked the rims so much I got them before I even had a Z. I finally got proper offsets for the front so I could drive with them

First - proper offset in the front.

A little fun with a XMOD Subaru.

XMOD chassis and gold alloys.

And finally........Enjoy.

I wasn't interested in that body, but now I want one... I love the final car with the white rims and blue nuts. Very nice.

I wanted this car the minute I first saw one. If you've seen my other garage you know I kind of have a thing for Subaru's, so when I saw this one I knew I had to have one. One day I might even have a black one and if they ever come out with a Ken Block Monster Energy version, I'll be all over that. And the white rims just had to happen. I think they are 2nd only to bronze/gold te37's.

I recently got a package with some stuff in it. This was one of the things in the package. It was used, but barely. And it came with some nice extras - bearings, cf t-plate, extra wheels/tires. I bought it off a fellow rc nut who I have bought many items from in the past.

Apparently it also came with alloy motor spacers and stainless kingpins. And there was a little something extra for my AWD as well.

And it's funny that I ended up buying the mr-02 because I bought this from him too thinking that one day I would modify it for a XMODS body. I have to lower it though, it sits way too high.

Well, the GT sat way too high so I cut out the front clip and shaved out about 1mm.

Before.

After.

I think the previous owner was going to convert this into a XMODS body so the side clips were already cut out so I shaved the ridges they rest on about 5mm.

Before.

After.

The result...mush less wheel well gap and a more level body.

??No love for the GT??

I guess there's a slight difference with how the Z bodies and iwaver bodies mount to the chassis. The stock offset for the GT is 0N and 2W. I figured with the clearance the front was right but that I could go wider in the rear so I got these...

And these to fine tune the handling a little.

More pics to come.

Q & C welcome.

Thanks. It's an Iwaver body and I think that is why it sat so high.

I've gotten some stuff recently.

Some new/used rims.

A truck load of tires.

Almost 200 bearings for mini-z and xmods!!!

And my all time favorite wheels were finally made into alloy versions for the AWD. I bought some before Christmas but they never arrived so I got a refund and the only other places I found with them for sale were more money and the one place that had the bronze wides were twice the price. Well they dropped their prices and matched a competitors price so I got narrow and wide in bronze and silver. They aren't the perfect offset for my current Subaru, but when I get another chassis they will be perfect for my blue WRX.

Just a little bit of dish to them. Nice!

And some new rims for my GT. I do love the team atlas wheels.

And last but not least. Something I've had for a while and I have a good idea of what I'm going to do with it, I just need the material and time to do it. Don't expect anything to be done for a while.

Q & C always welcome.

Thanks, but I think you gotta start going to the bathroom before you look on the computer.

I got something free recently. Well, not exactly free, but I traded some stuff I didn't need for something that someone else didn't need.
