Project Camaro is now in operation!
So, remember all of my talk of going to a Candy Apple Red? It's in the works.
I would show you before, but well.. it was a Bumblebee we all know what those look like. It started out in primer, obviously. And, it currently has a Sterling Silver Metallic base coat sitting on it, and it's very purdy.. I want to leave it this color to be honest. I will lay down maybe one or two more coats on here to get some more metallic on there since this was just a very light dusting of this color, and it was that thick.. one thing I am finding that I don't like is these little cans spray ALOT of paint in one spray.. have to be almost a foot away to make sure it's not too thick. I think I will be leaving the slammed wheels on it, I think they fit the wheel wells nicely and compliment the stance. I will be re-painting in all of the details by hand once I get the final coat of color down. That is going to be fun. |

Mmmm.. candy apple red:
I need to go out and get some very fine sandpaper so I can get rid of the orange peel.. but god **** I am so glad I did this. Also, the stripes aren't coming back. I wanted to at first, but I've changed my mind. |

Yeah the stripes are a pain in the butt thats for sure! i used brake clean to get mine off.
Start with about 1000 gritt for the wet sanding and make sure it says its for wet or dry sanding before you start. Keep a steady steam of water and sand lightly. |

Wow that is tasty! Can't wait to see it finished - looks like we could be in need of a custom paint competition in the not to distant future.

I've got some lights on the way and a suspension and steering upgrade with it, should be here today. As for the motor, just a Stage 2 probably. I highly doubt it will get driven much since I prefer driving my truck more. My cars are my shelf queens, the trucks are actually driveable on most surfaces. The cars are so low that you have to worry about a small rock ripping the underneath of your car apart. I need to order some GPM though. Will be getting front and rear knuckles, dogbones, might do GPM shocks. And, probably sealed metal bearings as well. The Titan is where most of my money is going. I spent $40 on an off road upgrade, ONLY one I could find with a buy it now though. Edit: Thanks for all of the compliments everyone! I'll get some outside pictures once I get off of work today, should have some sunlight. The car is looking so darn good though I just can't wait to get it back together.. but I have to be patient. I probably won't do any work to it for a couple days, let the paint that's on it get a good cure and go from there. I can work on the bumpers for the time being. I need to find a way to tape off the headlights in the front bumper though.. |

Nice, I'm not much a fan of the original color, but that looks yummy! Here's mine, I had slammed wheels in it, but I needed them for my F150 so they aren't in the Bumblebee anymore.
Here's what all my money goes into now. But I still have fun with this Notice the temporary tattoo on the roof, it is a b*tch to get off Sorry if I'm jacking your thread. I like yours a ton better! I'm thinking maybe a metallic blue for mine.
