Default Jack's crawler!

Ok so here's my new project, a nice crawler! I went thru 2 bodies before setteling on this Blazer and it's gonna be done in 2 tone but I haven't decided what to paint with the white so suggestions are welcome! To date its mods include 4x4 kit, off road kit, full bearing set, articulation mod to the rear end, custom skid plate, super swamper tires with wheels modded to fit, a high torque (50 in lbs of tq) and a new body! LOL!

Anyway on to the pics.....

Awesome! I see you did the articulation mod the same way I did, leave the tabs on the main thing, cut them off the grey thing. Please get a video.

Sounds awsome. A blue and white two tone paint job might look cool. What hitec servo is that? I think it is a hitec servo. (if i can read correctly) I was thinking of doing a more powerful servo mod.

Its a hi tech. I wanted the 55 but they were out of it so I went with the HS81. Sorry I don't have the specsheet anymorebut I do remember it had a rate of .09 sec to travel 60 degrees and it has 49 inch lbs of tq. It was the fastest, highest tq servo they had in the range I wanted to pay. Sorry I'm NOT into paying $50 for a servo! Anyway it ran me $12.00 +tax, not a bad price for that kind of speed and tq.

Thats pretty sick, Why dont you make a veido of it in action, I think it needs too be alittle bit higher, IMO, Also I think you should give it more power with a 6th cell, again IMO, but that thing is really sick!

Paint colors are sweet, paint the orange chassis pieces the body color or black.

I LOVE the skid plate. Better than my aluminum one. Does it cover up the whole front end, or just the front?

The chassie is gonna be black, the shocks will probly stay orange. The skid plate attaches to the factory one I'll post better pics of it when its done.

I just found some KILLER tires! Now I need to lift the body a little higher!

(insert drumroll HERE!) THESE TIRES!!!! They are super soft rubber, the tread mashes down if you push on it and you get 2 sets of them for $12.00!!! They are currently for sale at all major toy stores and are made by the ERTL company and come on a 2 pack of little John Deere tractors! I found mine in Target last week, they had 3 more sets of the tractors left after I got mine. The other set is your standard monster truck style tread but THIS thread pattern caught my eye! Anyway on to the pics!

In this shot you can see how I have them mounted, with a set of stock Hummer wheels glued to the backs of them. I simply drilled a 3/8 inch hole thru the center on the monster tires wheel to access the nut. And TA DA! Didn't even need to do a wide axle mod! Now I did need to sand the chassie down just a little so they wouldn't rub while turning.

This shot says soooo much as to the size of these tires!
