Default Burnt resistor question

I was installing some bearings into my gen1 xmod, when I let the antena wire touch the battery termenal.......and then u can guess what happend......yep! Alot of smoke,so I took it apart and all thatwas left is this.......

Now I was wondering if it would hurt any thing to just solder the two little connecter things straight to each other, or if there is any other alternatives
Thanks in advance:-):-)

You must replace the resistor. AtomicMods may still sell them, but you can just look up the resistor's specs by its color bands, and find replacements at a local electronics store.

Run it for a short time, cut power, and touch the different components and see what's hot enough to cause alarm. Something is slowly burning.
