Ahh, okay. Well, to be honest, my method is rudimentary to say the least.... I just find a small, round leftover model part that is about the same diameter as the back face of the wheel center. Then, I use a hobby knife to "drill" a hole in the center the same diameter as the stud. Then, I sand it down to the desired width (flush, but not so long that the threads don't reach the outside of the wheel. If it's still not wide enough, glue a small dot of sand paper onto the end of a broken pencil. Stick that into the recess in the wheel for the lug nut, and sand it down. That way, you can achieve a lower offset without needing longer studs.

I have a thread on Stanceworks, and I'm applying to get put up on the Canibeat blog right now.... Thanks a lot for all the kindness. Rack altitude was cut in half, BTW.

the rack needs to be 1/14th of an inch off the roof height assuming that a real 1:1 rack is 2 inches off the roof

1:1 racks are normally 3-6 inches off the roof.

IMO the roof should still be lowered, like practically sitting on the roof. In scale size that rack is probably sitting a good 5+ inches up from the roof. I really like the lights though, where did you get them?

They're stolen from Revell '32 Ford Sedan and '29 Ford Pickup kits.

You just saw them. I literally cut the roof rack mounts in half. It may just look higher in the pics.... I really am puzzled. I have a roof rack on my 1:1, and this looks darned close to on scale...

in real life, i'd only have a roof rack on my car if it only cape up 3 inches. i'd never put one higher than that on a car.
