drag truck

thanks tto "blue504life" for the single cab idea and "xmod noob" for the cowl hood thread, i decided to build a low-low race truck. i cut the F-150 to make it single cab and robbed a '67 camaro for the hood cowl and did thhe bodywork to make the look im going for..





stuck it on a stretched EVO chassis...



future plans: x-speed v motor, aluminum suspension, candy green paint job...

looking good so far. one thing though is the cowl straight from the pic you are showing it looks like its sitting at a angle. might be the pic though

Looks like it is starting to take shape but you have a lot of sanding ahead of you

The single cab cut looks like it worked out nicely, proportions seem good so great job there!

We don't see to many low rider trucks so definitely keep us posted on how this one progresses....

Any thoughts on the paint?

its the light hitting that front corner so it is actually is pretty straight thanks for comment!

plans today: more sanding and putty, dropping that motor in!! ...

did alot of sanding, got it masked and even painted today!





i made wider fenders as you can see and the paint is much shinier than the pics, but were taken with my phone so.. thanks for looking, more updates to come and comments always welcome!

Its definitely getting there.... needs wider wheels but all the body work looks like it came out real nice... do you have a higher res camera / more light so we can see some clear photos of it.

i do but i have no idea where it is..
here is the chassis bigger gauge wire custom cut a driveshaft to make awd full bearings and x-speed v motor. also im sending the shaft to DRFTKO and he's cuttin a cf one to replace the heavy metal one..

never seen a 4wd drag car, but 17 is not too bad, i'd go lipo if i were you, maybe even neo mags to get you that extra jump at the starting line

i thought the x- speed had neo mags already..
