Default led help

hi i was thinking about putting some red leds around the mirror in the headboard on my waterbed and i was wondering do i need to put a resistor before each led or just one resistor any help would be appreciated

get a dc power supply to start with.
walmart sells those cheapo power sources that put out 12v.

or an old cell phone charger, little lower power, but would do.

ok thanks for the calculator and i will try to find a power supply it probably won't get done for awhile but when it does i will post pics up

Or go the easy route and buy LED rope lights. We put them around our deck and they work quite nice. Plug and play. I think it was 20 bucks for a 25 foot rope.

I don't really want do rope because it's thick and I was just gonna do it along the corners but it was a good idea
