I do know that the FASTEST R/C car is Cliff Lett's RC10L3O (Team Associated)

111 MPH "The top speed ever reached by a radio controlled model car"

Read it in the 2003 and 2004 editions of the Guinness World Records books.

http://www.teamassociated.com/racerhub/record.htm

But if you're a n00b with no experience in hobby-grade R/C, don't ask "whats the fastest car/truck I can get". That question usually leads to a lot of wasted money, and overall, an unhappy and difficult start to the R/C hobby.

Well, lets start off, have you had any previous experience with hobby-grade level R/C vehicles? Driving your friend's car doesn't count.

What is your budget?

What are you planning to do? Off-roading with some on-roading? On-road only? Off-road only? Going off jumps? Learning to drive?*

* Good if you don't have experience with hobby-grades.

You disgust me... Tamiya does NOT make the TC3... Team Associated makes the TC3. Also, the electric TC3 is out-dated. TC4 (shaft) and TC5 (belt) have been released already.

For stock electric, my Losi XXX-S comes BL, so it kicks some serious arse.
The torque is great, while top speed is really good for stock.

In my head, I would imagine it goes about 35mph tops..
10.5t of Novak power!

My uncles Kyosho (stock) supposedly went 110kph and traxxas's stuff suposedly (aka doesn't) goes upwards of 70mph. But speed isn't that important. 50mph is more than enough.

Screw speed. Pick up an Associate B44, and you'll forget all about going uber fast...

(not to say the B44 doesn't go fast)

Later,
