Let's just say my girlfriend could use a little more practice backing out of the driveway...

Her parents' insurance is covering it. The total repair cost is a whopping $2200. Should be going in for repair in the next week or so.

Update:

Picked Nox up from the shop, and all is well.

Or so I thought. When I got home, I went over it with a fine-toothed comb and noticed a few places I wasn't happy with. She'll be going back in within a few days to be fixed up and then we'll be back on track for upgrades.

Either next weekend or the weekend following, she'll be going in for window tint. I was going to go ahead and save up to get the rims first, but my brother is getting a good deal on the tint. He's good friends with a tint installer, and is taking 2 cars down ('01 Accord, and '11 Cruze) to get tinted, and the guy said he would do all three for $400. If I were to go at any other given time, it would be about $250 for my car alone, so I thought I'd hop right on that deal.

Speaking of rims, another rim choice has come into light and now I need help making up my mind.

It's between the 17" Sparco rims:

17" Sport Edition SE-16:

17" Apex Black/Chrome
Click Me

Or 17" Drag DR-33
Click Me

I kinda like the Apex ones. Off the car, they look like too much chrome, but I think once they're on the car, it would be enough to look good, with the other chrome on the car.

I will also be adding chrome door handles. Not the cheasy plastic ones, but the actual OEM handles from GM, like these:

I'm liking the SE-16s more than the Apexes since there's enough chrome on the SE-16s to offset the black on black, but isn't overkill like on the Apexes.

Those get my vote. A happy medium between too few spokes and too many spokes.

Do you plan on plastidipping the front Chevy badge like you did the rear Chevy badge?

Cheers,
Kyle

i agree, SE-16 all the way. the Apex rims just have too much going on, and the other 2 are just to bland

She's drying now.

I've been meaning to do it for a while but never got around to it. Just did it today.

Here's a quick PS of what she'll look like with the SE-16s. I like it.

As for the audio:

I rode with my one of my buddies the other day that still has a system, and it made me realize how much I miss having a system. So, it's about time to change that. In the next couple of weeks, I'll be ripping my dash back apart to install the antenna adapter I forgot to when initially installing the headunit. I'll also be running my power wire, remote wire, and RCAs at that time, getting ready for the subs.

The subs and amp I'll be using at first will be 2 12" 2011 Kicker CVRs and a 700W Boss monoblock. I'm getting them on a trade soon, just a little temporary setup.

So yeah, I'll update when I do all that as well.

Build is being suspended right now, I was laid off on Friday.

A buddy of mine is going to let me borrow a 12" Kenwood and a 500w Alpine amp, just gotta but an amp kit. After that, the build is on hold until I can get back on my feet.

Hrm, its been a while since I've been here.

Anyway, I got my job back a few weeks after losing it (along with a raise!) so the build has been going on again. Let's see what I need to add...

Added a sharkfin antenna:

Then I started to mount a Nexus 7 in place of my radio.

I still have a little more to do, to make it look good.

Audio Build:
Headunit: Nexus 7
EQ: Boss AVA1204
Sound Processor: Rockford Fosgate 3SIXTY.1
Door Speakers: Skar Audio VXI65
Speaker Amp: Skar Audio LP60.4 A/B
Subwoofers: Skar Audio VVX-12 | Dual 4 Ohm (x2)
Sub Amp: Skar Audio 800.1D
Sub Box: Ported ~32Hz built from birch

Other things added to the list:
- Roof rack (Not sure what brand yet)
- LTZ door handles
- Tint
- Possibly lower and rims
