You only fried the forward/reverse FETs, the steering has a different set of FETs. Btw, why would you even try 9v...? Thats just plain stupid.

well if im thinking about this right,you could wire 2 stock battery trays togather and still have 6v (pos. to pos. neg to neg.) but if you wanted 12v you would run (pos. to neg.) and you would get a 12v pack but if you do it the way i first stated then it might be safe due to the fact your still only using 6v but you would have double the run time...i think

Is there a easy way to fix this with out repalcing the FETs?

No, or just change the board entirely. If you want a easier fix, just buy a new car. But thats not worth it, as FETs can be stacked for $20. Which is real good.

Get a relay...
9v is heavy and will last about 10 seconds on a modified car. Good for those dyno darlings who can't lay it out anywhere besides the checker

Get a V2.2 for this. It can handle up to 30v. The NELLY maximum is 12v so that would be pushing it to the limit and I wouldn't gamble my money that way. You can wire 2 battery trays together without doubling the volts (parallel) Its a fine mod for a TRUCK.
