- Axial SCX10 Toyota Hilux -
I think I'm officially joined the 1/10 club. hno: Here's my first ever hobby grade 1/10 RC, Axial SCX10 Honcho Kit, that just got delivered today. Haven't decide what ECS/TX/RX/Motor combo yet. Here's how far I got up to. Keep in mind, this will be a slow build.
Unboxing: Now let's get started on bag A: 1 down, 1 more to go! Both axles done. Bag A is done, bag B is up. Put the drive shafts together. Those metal yokes left a dent on my thumb. Time for the shocks. Shock bodies are done, now it need some oil. All 4 shocks done!

Thanks Rob, excited aren't you?

Update: Build continue... Bag C: Build up the top linkages on the front axle. Both axles done. Now for the bottom linkages. Next up, the tranny. All nicely fitted and greased up. Bag D: Competed tranny mounted on the skid plate. Bag E: Servo plate mounted. For servo choice, I went with the Traxxas 2075 waterproofed servo. Servo mounted in place, as well as the steering linkages. Now it's time for the chassis. Bag: F Front axle mounted. Rear axle mounted. Almost there! Both sides rock sliders installed. ESC/receiver box installed. Battery rack. Front bumper. She's officially a roller!

It will take a little time, you probably could do it in a day if you stuck to it but I wouldn't recommend it. |

Update: So my transmitter and receiver got delivered quicker than I expected.
I waste no time, and have the receiver mounted on the chassis right away. Then took it out for it's first run! And a really crappy quality video...
