Default The Chevelle!...Agian!

well i didnt realize this thread got deleted in the problems that the site had a while back, but i'll re-make it from the other forum, just a copy/paste so if it doesnt make sense dont worry about it

alright guys, i was keeping this under wraps until i could get the chassis close enough for a decent mock-up of the body. i finally got everything set up how i like it (still needs a few tweaks here and there) and now it runs since i fixed the broken power wire and it performs fairly well for how long and wide it is. i had to trim out a lot of the engine compartment, and i still have to trim out some more to get it to sit more like i want it.

its been hard keeping this thing from you guys for so long, only Oramac knew about it before now because he found the model for me

want too see it?

you sure?

ok
Body Shots

not the exact ride height it will have when its done, but a good start.

Chassis Shots

the next few pics i have had for a while, and this has been modded more to work a little better, some bugs worked out

its still a work in progress, but you can get a good idea of what it will look like here, i'm still undecided on color, but my main choices are black with white or silver stripes, or light metallic blue with white stripes. im not settled on those rims and tires either, but i kind-of like the larger rear tires. im still looking for some that i might like better.

ok guys, i havnt been able to work on this much lately, but i did some work on the ride height today and mocked it up on the chassis again with some body pieces

let me know what you guys think

i think it looks pretty sick tuckin' tire. the rear end will probably be a little lower after its all mounted, but not a whole lot

and you guys get the newest update as an added bonus (not really)

new update/delimma. i finally took those slicks and skinnies off the dragster model i have, and they would probably look pretty good on it, but i'm not sure if i want to go with the full dragster look or not, plus i will have to change the whole rear end AGAIN, probably back to stock, or close to it. (which means no metal dogbones)

Anyway, here's some pictures of the slicks and skinnies compared to other xmods rims/tires

haha yeah they're pretty big, but i think if i go back to the original rear suspension setup i should be able to get em to fit no problem, the hardest part will be adding the D hole

i could do that, or i could just cut the D hole out of the hummer rim. its not like i'm gonna use those rims for anything anymore

as for cutting/modding the fenders, if i have to cut into the body to get the tires to fit then i'll just scrap the whole dragster plan and go with the street car plan. im not gonna waste a good body just to fit some tires

Just put the hummer wheels on the chevelle, then you can use it for light offroading to.
