Which way to start?

So, I've been thinking Xmods are fun and all, but maybe I should advance into the hobby a bit. So I was thinking where I should go to take the next step into the R/C Hobby. I'm hoping to get some advice on what I should get, I'm trying to look for the following:

Electric (Batteries might be cheaper to maintain)
Bigger Scale (something larger than 1/28th)
Not too expensive (I'm expecting it to be pricier, but I'm hoping not too bad)
Good to learn on? (Idk if theres a great brand to learn the essentials on)

RC18T is a good offroad truck and is 1/18 scale.

If you want to stay in electric go with traxxas rustler,bandit or stampede you can get them under 200 new if you want nitr traxxas nitro sport is around 250 as is the hpi fire storm any more ? just ask Or buy any of them used and save some money

yea,go with the rustler..and get some upgrades to learn more about the rc..

Personally I would recommend moving up to 1/18th scale, so Rc18T, Mini-Baja, or even a Kyosho Mini Inferno (1/16th). I have the last two and am really liking them so far. The good thing about them is parts are reasonably priced.

If you move up to a /10th scale right away like a Rustler or something similar, you will find they can get quite costly if you really want to improve their performance.

EDIT: You should have been looking sooner, I just sold my Rustler with over $300 in extra parts for $165.

that is exactly what i thought upon reading this..

- that or rc18mt more a MT instead of a stadium truck

This car can also go 70mph+ if you have the $ (castle creation mamba brushless set-up very very expensive but worth it

It dependsm nitro or electic(micro RS4.) I know AE also has the RC18R. They also have the Nightline which is also a 18R just looks more realistic. It looks like a Skyline. Somebody should get REDisFASTER over here. He could help you out tons.

I'm looking at the Electric RS4, its an RX-7 Drifter ready-set. Hmm I was looking at the 18R's they look kinda fun too. I think I found a great deal on an RS4 though, just wondering on peoples opinions.

EDIT: NVM wasn't that great a deal, no controller, esc, or batts/charger

Just got one yesterday, very awsome machine, it came to like 170$ after tax(which isnt bad) but it comes with everything you need. i still cant believe how well these are built. i would deffenetly recommend getting one.

Kaze, just remember. Hobby-grade isn't gonna come cheap. Especially if you have a Nitro MT and bash it a lot like I do. . Lol, cars are not as easy to bash with and when they hit a bump in the road(depending on the scale)will flip a lot.*remember it depends on the scale and the chassis* Personally, I would stick to off road because of higher ground clearance, can do wheelies(unless you are The EDJ with his wheely 18R) and can take those bumps. Plus they can jump and handle all of the terrains of a car and more!

The Sprint 2 nice for a Circuit Car? I'm looking at the 06' Fujitsu Imprezza STi Kit, LHS has it for $192.99

Yeah, the sport series is what you want if you are looking for racing....with the sprint 2 you can go brushless etc...
