Default Tower Hobbies 224:

Introducing the latest from TowerHobbies.com, the latest in "Spektrum" technology: the Tower Hobbies 224. A 2.4GHz transmitter and receiver combo; all for under $100!

Priced at a small cost of $79.99 (ok, $80, but you can always save that $0.01!) the TowerHobbies 2.4GHz pistol is an inexpensive way to step into "Spektrum" technology.

The Tower Hobbies 2.4GHz pistol radio is a two channel (throttle and steering) system that comes with a tiny, lightweight receiver with an internal antenna. It also includes features like servo reversing, steering rate adjustment as well as a built-in fail safe for you Nitro lovers!

Projected to arrive late May, you may want to keep this new radio in mind.

Cheers,
Kyle.

Unfortunatly, I don't believe it does, and neither does it's sister system, the Tactic TTX240.

Cheers,
Kyle.

Nice fiind but for the small price difference ill stick with my Spektrum. It has more adjustments than i can come close to figuring out.

RC4WD has 2 Radio's that are under $100. More for crawling though. One has not been released, and the other was just released. Both 2.4ghz (I think) and look like a good deal. But again, they look more suited for rc crawlers.

Reminds me of the Tactic 2.4GHz radio used in the Aquacraft UL-1. Built in failsafe? Nice call there Tower. But I'm still gonna save for an Airtronics M11 just because...well you know I got a ton of RC's and most will be on the same radio once I get that.

I have the radio in the pic for my stampede It's a great radio for electric cars and trucks. My brother in law just bought the one on RC4WD and it turns off for a split second while driving. The one i have is almost as good as the Futabia it was made for boats because the spectrum system would glitch while the boats are in the water. It comes with a 3 ch micro rec. so hopefully the company will make a 3ch radio with all the bells and whistles on it.
