Wow, looks clean! However, I still haven't figured out what to do with the extra 8mm of rear track, maybe it'd bit under a custom wide bodykit.

I need new knuckles for the front. Im custom fabbing a plate just like c1v1c's. im thinking of ways to improve it. If it flexes too much the dog bone will come off the cup joint. I have to find a way to fix that. I'll get pics for you in a sec.

That stance is intimidating. You may want to be careful about the metal-plastic bond you have there.

ya, if you hit those wide set tires on a wall, the driveshafts are gonna die, unless you have fender flairs that are wider than a fat ladies hips...

why not use gen1 cvd's? those would do the job very well instead of pins and would be more concentric, leading to less vibration and unsettling of the rear suspension

the gen 1 CVD's are too short. Ima Heat up the tip of the stub and melt the plastic slighty onto the metal to make it bond better. I still don't know how c1v1c did it.

umm...cut the gen1 cvd and extend using aluminum tube...should be easy if you've got plastic

I messed up on 4 plastic side arms...

The screw on the right keeps the knuckle from moving around while still being able to be compressed without binding.

Just a "draft"

I would go with what XMDrifter said, extend the CVD's with tubing. I've done it with truck dogbones, it works fine.

If you want a stronger bond, try mixing JB weld with CA glue. I was messing around once when I was working on my trailer hitch. I had to bond aluminum to the rear bumper. I tried CA JB, and it worked pretty well. I am not sure if that would be stronger than extending the CVD's, but it would be better than what you have now.

the draft looks nice.
what about using a thinner screw so you can put some slide tube over it(so the threads don't catch)?
with this idea, maybe you could use tierods instead of the screw so you can change the rear toe settings...

uote=AzNKevin4EvA;207426]BIG SPECIAL THANKS TO c1v1c. [/quote]
I gave him the idea

Looks good though, and glad to see a gen1 being cut up The wider rear track looks sweet, would work nice with the new ZO6 as the Evo's stock track width ain't wide enough.

Hey AznKevin, I haven't replied to your pm but i guess replying to this thread would be the same,

Anyways, to answer the questions, The CVD's weren't too short. if your watch carefully its the same dimensions as the front assembly(just wider due to the longer cupsjoint)

the aluminum plates that i've cut out has no flex at all compared to what you are using but i guess its just for a mock-up.

As of now, the chassis is in piece but you made me want to get back on track with it so i'll probably update my old thread and see how it goes.

I can't tell how it handles over the camber suspension setup since the pic you've seen is the farthest i've done to it.

My primary plans were using a pancar body which results into a wider stance so its all good

Oh and texan_idiot25 is right, this is HIS idea, all I did was to build it

I guess I pretty much answered all you needed atm, if i jumped any of them, just tell me!

Cya!

EDIT: Oh, your welcome
