Concepts are good, but you need a lot more light, in my opinion.

Cheers,
Kyle.

Thanks for the feedback man!

Which pic are you referring too? If you mean the motor one, the darkness you see was on purpose...

They look a little better on this LCD (was on a five year old CRT earlier...). A little more light, however, and I think they would really pop. Right now they're a little dull and the added light would really bring out the concept and quality in all three of them.

What was your projected purpose in the first (motor armatures & cans & tires) image?

Cheers,
Kyle.

Thanks. I'll look into more lighting.

We are having a photography competition in my city. 3 Kid's from all schools are participating. Those are the 3 out of 6 pics I submitted.
I'l post the other 3 later.

I was going for a 'dark' kinda look with the motors. LIke, the car, wheels and all fit together. As most people won't understand 'just' armatures.

I';; see if I can get the original images if I didn't overwrite them that is. They had a LOT more light. I kinda did that myself.

What do you think though? Good enough pics for a comp?

Tayyab - I like the motor pic. Nice use of selective focus. Doing close up is a challenge. good work.

Here are a few from me just for fun,

Last nights wolf moon mega cropped all I have is a 18-200 lens

slightly over the sites size limit so I hope no one has a problem with it. If so I can re size it, but as long as I have been around I hope I can get away with it

I only took a few of these, but I thought I would share anyway.
Me and some friends went scootering, and Phillip brought his Canon Rebel.

These are just some of the better ones from the weekend.

All those were taken by Phillip, the following were taken by me, same camera.

my oldest I don't usually shoot kids form above but this was not a planed shot. As for the back ground I don't like but it was short of candid.

And thanks again for the compliment.

For S&G's, a friend mentioned putting it up on Jones Soda's site, to get it on the label. On their sodas, it features a submitted photo on the label, so why not two and a half tons of orange?
