I have two full alloy cars with upgraded motors and the parts did not cost that much and they have the alloy chassis also. The only thing missing is the stacked fets but even then I would not expect to get more than 200.00 unless I parted it out. And no I would not pay that much for a car from some one on ebay. I would rather build it myself then trust some one else to do it for that amount of money. All of what I learned about xmods I learned by trial and error and from the more experienced members on this site. Anyone even know who this guy is? Or heard of him on any other sites?

I would never spend that much on an Xmod. I don't care what's been put on it. To me, the real fun is ordering the parts or going out to your local hobby store and buying the parts and putting it on yourself. I'm a very hands on technical person. I love tearing things apart and putting them back together. Buying something that is already pre-built just takes all the fun out of it. Maybe if he had the parts, but not installed then I would think about it. Besides, $300+ for an Xmod? I would pass on that

well if nobody noticed AM used to sell highly upgraded xmods for a fortune. I believe one costed like 500 bucks. So seeing one on ebay for 350 isnt that surprising to me.

Yeah that is true but you knew if you had a problem with a car from AM you could call or return it. You buy that car and something goes wrong with it you better know how to fix it or know someone who can, otherwise you are well and truely SCREWED.

Well, just how many did they sell? I don't see any point in spending over 100$ in upgrades in a 'mod without swapping the board and servo. These ebay guys only slapped on parts and stacked a few FETs, neither of which are significant upgrades alone.

i would never think of spending that much on an xmod.My 1/10 scale AWD hobby grade drift car was only about $200, and i guarantee its more fun, faster, and (used to be*) better looking than that thing.

*that was until it hit a curb at about 25 mph and the front end of the body cracked. all it takes to fix that is a new body though, nothing structually wrong with the chassis. still drifts like a mad man

so am i wrong for wanting $300.oo for the black wydow?
i didn't get $300.oo but that was my original asking price.
if B1G wants to say what he paid,it's up to him.

there's about $250.oo in the chassis(not to mention the body that i would normally charge $50+) and the only reason i made any kind of profit is because most of the mods were bought with XI comp sprees.
