haha, thats the ads for the dodge magnum are like. its impractical and dumb to get a new car if you the car you already have runs fine and you love it. anyway, nice progress, i wanna see pics of them components after the paint dries.

finally...some update pics:
these are after paint, but have been sitting out in the rain for a week or so, so they're kinda dirty. getting rid of the automatic seatbelts: old: new: mounting the legacy handbrake handle (one step closer to rear handbrake!) and a new photoshop image.....I decided I might rather have black: |

done?! I'm sure it'll never be completely done.
but, I expect it to be back on the road within a month *crosses fingers* yes, and no.....they are photoshopped on in that picture. but I do have a set of those same wheels sitting in my shed right now. they just don't have tires yet. |

I wouldn't do black.. it shows every little ding like a flare in the sky.. but, it does look nice black..

actually black hides surface imperfections better than most. certainly much better than Rally Blue Pearl or Sedona Red Pearl (the others I'm considering).

Would you do the respray yourself, or have it "proffesionally" done?
A little more quality behind proffesionally done, but a lot more satisfaction with doing it yourself. Wouldn't you say? And you certainly have narrowed it down to the three toughest colors to choose from, those would all look great on that car! |

Donzii, since when were DIY paintjobs not good? My dad layed down show-quality paint jobs on the Camaro and El Camino in his garage. Even some pine stripe to seperate the colors of the El Camino.

read his post again. he just said there's a little more quality in professional ones.
I'll be painting it myself. but not spraying it, I'll be using a roller |

The guy that lived across the street from my parents repainted his '62 GMC pickup in his drive way using rattlecans and actually had it turn out really good.

Well not everybody can afford to drop $600-$1000 for a good gun and compressor to paint a car with. Oh and tell all the taggers out there that Rattle cans are inferior. they do a good job for what they were designed and intended to do.
