Default stupid servo..

i was reading on XMF about a gen 1 servo motor mod. well, i did it and it BARELY moves across the carpet!!! it sucks pretty bad and i thought that it was a respectable mod for a first time crawler. does this really not work well, or did i probably just do something wrong. (it got stuck on a piece of dog food)

you needed to use a hitec hs-55 micro servo, they are much better and should do the job right, the gen 1 servos are sooo weak, i can stop mine from steering with one hand

what did you use for a pinion on it I had one in my truck with a 8 tooth pinion and I replaced the motor in it with one out of a little heli and it was awsome plenty of tourqe and not nearly as slow as when I had the hs-55 with a 26 tooth pinion

i ran the hs81 for hours upon end in my toyota 4 runner crawler, it had big tires too. the only reason i took it out was i aquired another drop in crawler motor. still got the hs 81 laying around witing for a project
