Default winners first mini-z project thread

well this came in the mail this morning, lol i was not expecting it till friday, but the guy shipped it priority

specs:
- pn racing motor pod
- speedy 05 motor
- pn racing king pins
- pn racing front knucles 0'
- pn racing Multi Length Graphite Disk Damper Set
- pn racing tie rod 0'
- pn racing spring set
- pn racing Light Weight 64P Ceramic Ball Diff. Set
- 3010 fets
- pn racing bearings

also included but not installed:
- 3racing motor pod
- aluminum rims
- 4 sets of new duratrax 750mah rechargable batteries (only 3 in pic, other set is on the charger).

basicaly all that for a really good price. i found a track near here im going to try to go up for practice this weekend then watch the races and see what the guy winning has on his car. then probably upgrade it then race the next weekend if i can find a beater body for a decent price, im also useing a team losi mini-t TX because the chassis did not come with one. but i am looking for a stock transmitter. i dont think it was a bad deal, its been used 4 times and only on rcp tracks

well, here's the pics

some other parts that came with it

and pherhaps temperary body setup, i need to figure out how to attatch it on

wheels stick out a little bit

sorry for the crappy pics! im going to stick it on the speed checker one the batts are done

thanks man! i've been looking at a FXX because of its width, but i'll look into the vette or the aston. in your opinion what makes them good starter bodies?

Nice mr02 but mr03 is new technology. Most people at my local club all run mr03, which seems faster in the corners. The steering is so much more precise, the car is a lot lighter and the suspension options are very good. I don't think mr02 is worse or better, since at many events people still used mr02 and mr03, both have won races.. it's up to driver preference..me personally, I love the mr03 a lot more than the 02

the MR-03 is the faster chassis but the reason thst the MR-02 is still able to win races with it is because they are used to the feel and have had more time to tune it and find the fast points, where as the MR-03 drivers are still getting used to the feel and trying to figure out what the best suspension setup is. since this is my first miniz im just going to race it and have fun, if i can pick up a MR-03 for cheap then i will but other then that im going to try to keep around $180 off to the side and wait for kyosho to realease a all new MR series chassis then pre order it. thats probably like 1-2 years from now lol

THe MR-02 is pretty comparable with that double A-arm front that cost like $70 bucks but expect a slight advantage still going to the lighter and more precise MR-03. Without the double A-arm front, its really not on the same level in my opinion. Everyone I know is already well used to the MR-03. It only takes a day or two at the track to transition.

thanks man, just got a few myself, lol i finnaly figured out what my parents did to my camera so they arnt as fuzzy

these were the rims that came with it, but i didnt think they were the best loking around

luckily the FXX rims fit perfectly

i think it was originally a gloss coat body (lol because it has a clear coat finish) but i need to do some work to get rid of the spider cracks but since its going to be a race body its does not have to look perfect so i mite do something kinda like Dr.K's GT-R. anyone ever seen a riced lambo?

yea its a really nice looking body, and the detail is amazing. and since its going to be a race body i dont want to go spending tons on paint and since i dont have enough of any color to pait it 1 solid color its going to be a pretty good bit of colors lol. but i got the body for around $20 shipped and here's pics as requested
