Here is a link to some hop-ups. Also you can be creative and think of your own mods. Its a cool crawler, good choice for a fun small crawler.

XXX, that's the Losi Mini Rock Crawler, not the Losi Mini Desert Truck. He's asking about this: Losi Mini Desert Truck.

Losi makes some pretty well built RCs, but with all RCs, typically the first things to change are the RTR electronics out with aftermarket products (whether it be TX/RX, servo, batteries or the ESC/motor). I have yet to hear anything real negative about these RCs, but I have yet to hear anything positive, either.

The stock motor is a 280 compared to the 380 most other 1/18th RTRs come with (Vendetta, RC18 series, etc). The TX/RX is 27mhz AM, not the best TX/RX. The RX/TX and ESC are all one piece, like the micro-Losi series (DT, Baja, etc) making it a pain when switching to other electronics (new TX/RX package and new ESC).

Another downfall is it is RWD only.. no AWD.

For the $140 price tag, I would suggest something different..

Cheers,
Kyle.

Oops sorry, The LOSI Micro-T Mini Desert Truck is AWWWWWWWWWWWWSOME also. I actually own one of those. It is by far the FUNNEST of all my mini cars and trucks. You actually have lots of options with it. You can use most of the HOP_UPS for the Mini-T, and they make specific stuff for the Desert truck. You will have lots of fun with this truck, I play with mine more then any other. http://www.atomicmods.com/Categories...si-Mini-T.aspx

This truck is fast and fun out of the box. If you want to hop it up, they make a LOSI brushless motor and ESC that is made for this car and get the lipo batterries. You can wait to do it, because like I said the truck is pretty nice out of the boxes. I actually just got the brushless motor for mine but haven't used it yet because im trying to save up some cash to get the ESC and lipo for it.

Here is mine. I did get some Blue GPM parts for mine, but nothing crazy:

i would suggest getting a vendetta or a rc18t, i believe there about $20 more but they are both shaft driven 4wd. i have not personaly owned a losi 1/16 dt but i have had a mini-t which is basicly the same thing. but i was not impressed after racing it a few times....

lol erm, xxx he said 1/16 lol not 1/24
