Default January '10-'11 Build Off: 1999 Mercury Cougar

Well, I don't know if you guys have noticed or not, but I haven't been around as often as I used to. Xmod projects have pretty much come to a stand-still. Why is that you ask? Well, UTI is incredibly tiring, AND, Ive been working my butt off for this baby (Yes Tex, I stayed American):

-1999 Mercury Cougar V6 MTX
-2.5L, DOHC, 170hp
-MTX-75 5-speed transmission
-90k Miles, One previous owner
-Maaco paint job... =[
-Few dings here and there.

Plans:
I haven't quite decided on what I'm doing with the car just yet. There are a few minor problems that need to be addressed. I'm planning on dropping it about 1.5 inches, getting bronze 5 or 6 spoked rims, and getting a better paint job. In terms of performance, I'm not sure where I'm going. I'm probably going to keep it stock for the time being, since I need reliability and economy more than speed right now, lol.

I do believe this is Ford's version of that engine.

I was planning on doing a little work on this baby today after work, but noooo, it decided to rain all night. Bah!

Good thing this car is not silver. I have lots of animosity for silver Cougars. Has to do with a teenage girl on a cell phone trying to hit me. It was not pretty. If it was legal to PIT someone into a ditch, I would've done it in a heart beat.

I drove a friend's automatic Cougar once, not a bad car really. Interior was typical Ford, but it was plucky.

skin hubcaps and all leather cow interior and big brown baby seal eyes for headlights. Yeah! And I'm gonna drive
around in that baby at 115 miles an hour, getting 1 mile per gallon.

I may be king of the idiots, but my kingdom is vast and my subjects are everywhere

Ah, yes, I know those stories all too well...

Automatics, *sticks out tongue*, the deciding factor with this car was that is was a standard, lol. It was either this or a '96 Subaru Legacy GT. They were both the same price, but the Cougar had less miles, one owner and of course, that awesome MTX-75 Transmission.
