Default 16 gauge wire?

I have read numerous threads about people upgrading their cars to 18 gauge. I was wondering i you could do a 16 gauge upgrade? Or maybe even a 14 gauge upgrade. Would it fry the fets due to over-voltage? I was just wondering why no one has really used 16 or 14 gauge wire. Please do not tell me the wire is to big to be soldered on as an answer. oh and one more thing is the max capacitors you can run on your motor 3 and can you run a full size Deans plug instead of the micro??

It will work fine, But looks retarded. The wire is huge on the little car. That is the main reason I think. I have seen cars with it though. the 18 gauge is the best fit. I have a lith pack with 16 gauge wire and it is ugly. The 14 is just rediculous.......... But like I said before it will work, maybe you can make it look good.

You can use any plug really. But after the hobby has been around for so long, the 18g wire and micro deans plugs have become the popular parts to use for a reason....they work and look the best. I guess you could use 3 caps, but im not a motor specialist. I suggest not using that big bulky stuff in the little Xmod, if your gonna do it do it nice..... But if that's all you got have fun modding, I say.
