Not only do they add weight, but at 25 bucks, they are machined poorly. The Hot Rod wheel kit has the same exact design in plastic, and it's tough to tell the difference. Unless you're breaking the plastic rims, there's no need.

these are from Atomic Mods Are these good, they are expensive but look very nicew, its a full set too. |

The aluminum rims from RS aren't even machined they're cast, just Hot Wheels cars. The sad thing is the amount of metal used to make the rims equals about 2 cars. $25 bucks just isn't worth it.

Benefit of aluminum wheels
Not so much more than cosmetic, but in practical application, a spinning wheel that is heavier, will carry more momentum.

Yeah they are expensive at atomic mods. Atomic ****es me off because everything there is so expesive and it really shouldnt be...

cXp did somethin with the alluminum rims and the plastic hot rod rims..
he asked if we could tell the two appart from each other i think the plastic hot rod rims look better than the alluminums |
