Default My New Mini-Truck Project.

Hey ya'll, i'm working on a new project that is half way from finishing right now - it's a Toyota Hilux that i converted into a mini-truck (lowrider that i nicknamed "MINI-YOTA"). This is my first truck on car chasis project that i'm doing and i like how it's turning out so far. It's gonna have a bed cover that folds up half-way to reveal a mock sound system with Lcds, I might add a few extra lil things but i haven't figured out what yet. Anyways, here's what it looks like so far:

Oh yeah, incase you're wondering what color i'm painting it - it's candy blue with a silver strip down the middle (front to back). I'll update you guys on my progress as soon as possible. Hopefully I should be Finished in time to enter it into the Comp.

Thanks for the comments guys! @ Spanx - The Model Kit i'm using is a '95 Toyota Hilux 4wd Long bed Pickup truck. I shortened the bed so as to fit the evo car chasis - hense the name "mini truck". They're Pickup truck models that are just called "Toyota Pickups" but those are the low RWD ones - 4WD/4X4 were under the category of Hilux. It does look like a S-10 too from the back @ Blacksky.

actually, hilux is what they call them anywhere else in the world....

here, they're just pickups, or the newer ones, tacomas.

that's got to be the aeoshima kit....you said you shortened the bed? it looks identical to mine.

yeah you're right - I grew up in a 3rd-world country and all the toyota pickups wear Hilux Badges - it's only over here that i've seen them labelled as Tocomas (the new versions that is) besides that - they're all just pickup trucks anyways! It's a Aeoshima kit indeed - i almost picked up the lowrider kit but i wanted the swamper tires that the 4WD kit had so i got that instead. I did shorten the bed and cut out 3/4 of the bed floor so that the back of the chasis could fit - it has enough space for me to get creative with a mock sound system and maybe a mock hydrolic sytem too( ok - i'm dishing out too much info - i'll spoil the surprise look so i'll just update ya'll on my progess a.s.a.p! )

Ok guys - I was able to complete it up to 95% due to minor lil stuff that's left to do (such as more neon lights, skull eyes light up, and a gloss polish for the paint)Anyways, here's the mini-truck so far >>>

Well, I hope you guys like it so far! I'll post the last pics as soon as i finish installing the last stuff i have to do on it.
