Would this work?
im doing a mustang project but its going to be slow built.
This is my nitro cars old electronics and im wondering if thius setup would work and if not what would i need? micro servo in the top slot or xmods servo soldered to a micro servo board. i plan to use a micro t motor which is not brushless. this next pic will obviusly have a switch in between the battery and board. |

no it wont work
i did run this set-up in my crawler , but that used a servo drive the board will blow if you try to run that size or a micro-t size motor from it to get it to work you will nee an ESC

That is how nearly every ESC works. Ebay would be cheapest but my LHS has them for starting around 50 bucks. Not sure what a micro ESC would cost.

Some brushless ESCs are capable of running both brushed (DC) and brushless (AC) motors. An example would be the Novak GOAT. To my knowledge, the Mabma Maxx is also capable of using either AC or DC motors. However, I am not aware of any micro ESCs capable of running brushed and brushless motors.

The older version of the SideWinder, the Mamba25, is capable of running brushed motors if you use a firmware upgrade. Cheers, Kyle.

What's the 60k and 40k motors and who are they made by? Do you possibly have a link? Revolutions per minute doesn't really tell much about a motor; we need to know the amperage draw.
Cheers, Kyle.

Spider V4 ? I would use this one as it's a hell a lot easier to find. Nelly's are a gem and extremely hard to find. The V4 is now sold out at XI and not sure when he gets them back in stock. But you can get them at shop.ausmicro.com for $40 w/o shipping. Theres also the Bug V1 which is better then the Spider V4, but more expensive. Can be found on that website as well.
