Default how many volts.....

i have a evo xmod and my friend has 2 gen 1 xmods but he only uses 1...... he said i can have the other so i was thinking...... of adding a second 9v battery to my car (im running a 9v battery with a stage 2 motor (w/ crest spinbrush pro magnets) and a 35v 22uf capacitor....... anyways how many more FET's would i have to add to run a second 9 volt and also are gen 1 FET's compatible with evo ones? (how many volts does one FET handle?)

FET's control current, not voltage, so upgrading them will not help. you say you are running your evo on a 9 v battery? post some pics i want to see that setup because that should technically fry your board, and any more volts will render your xmod useless.

i'm moving this to the electronics forum

cheers

welcome to the site....check this thread out:
http://www.xmodsource.com/forum/showthread.php?t=7004

put as many FETs as you like on there. you'll fry it with any more than the 9v you've already got (which must not be putting out all 9 volts now....because you're already pushing the limits of the board).

The 9volt has too low of a drain. Its built to last, not to power an Xmod. If you want, get a 6 cell, its twice as effective.

I've pushed my board to 8.5.
