Default So Far of what I found and tried

The best fitting bearings here.
http://www.tinyrc.com/shop/product.php?pid=593

One of The best Chassis here.
And Carbon Fiber Shafts
http://www.xmodspeed.com/dragster.htm

The best Batteries so far.
http://www.atomicmods.com/Lithium.htm
I made a new order here.
http://www.batteryspace.com/

I brought METAL wheel nuts from here.
And Carbon Fiber Shafts
Front steering knuckles on order
http://www.customxmodsparts.com/Wheels.html

One of the MANY high powered motors.
This one is on order
http://www.performancexmods.com/cata...099/719279.htm
This one is VERY high torque
http://www.performancexmods.com/cata...099/905234.htm
I purchased it already set for running (price jump) to 32.00
I did fit it into the RSX with modification to the plastics on the radio
http://www.jpringlephoto.com/EOS1DMK.../Mechanics.htm

Things I suggest looking into but have not purchased...
Bearing can motor
Rear Strut Bar.
I brought NEO Magnets but have not installed them yet.
Foam (WIDER) wheels are on my to do list.

Right now, I am trying to keep my new setup with the Lithium's on the ground. The car does drifts and is 2WD. I put another Lithium set in the Corvette which is 4WD and it shoots across the stage...
My next trick is figuring out which tires are best and how to hold them onto the rim...I will have to score the wheel inside and glue the tire down.

Not impossible, but not cheap. My car goes faster than 61.5mph, but I've added a lot of aftermarket goodies and had a specialty circuit manufactured to help. That circuit is available on my website. IT will allow the use of stock xmod electronics with a brushless ESC and motor.

Unless your co-worker's nephew is Brick, me, or one of us that's sandwiched 3 or more li-ions on an xmod (I've done 5 li-ions) but even the li-ion cars are having a very tough time getting into the 50s. BTW, my brushless does not use the stock electronics because I started building it before Brick came out with his boards.

61.5 MPH in a 1:28 scale car! Isn't that 29,000 MPH in real life? There has to be some kind of formula to compensate for the scaled speed. 29,000 MPH is about how fast the space shuttle goes!

It's 1.722 mph if you put it to full size speed. All you do is multiply the MPH by 28.

First, glue your rear tires, et a h-bridge,V2, or woah nelly board.
Get bearings, lithium batteries & a high rpm motor(cheetah-x prefered). Put then together and your all set!

Let's make it clear that Moe is running li-pos, not li-ions, and with any luck, I'll be racing him next weekend.

Um, you misplaced the decimal there Rob. 61.5 * 28 = 1722. That's faster than Mach 2!

1:28 is the size of the car you dont take the speed the xmod hits times 28 because if you use a speed gun it would be the same as a regular car going 61.5 mph

Errrrrr, no. His car is easily doing 60. My li-po pack got in today, and I will soon be seeing 60+. His motor only needs to rotateat rougly 42 thousand RPMs, so it's not hard to believe.

His does 60 REAL MPH, not in scale. When my new tires get in, I'll be able to see how fast I'm going.

I think hes just saying you don't do a conversion to the mph... ie there is no compensation for the car being smaller than a real one.
