Default dumb radio Q.

is there any way u can upgrade the stock radio to make it better.Maybe better chips like we do with the fets on the cars.

Nope. Only way to upgrade it is to do a board swap. Popular swaps are mini z boards or losi micro boards.

I remember reading a guy took a radio apart and did a couple of things to it.I think he bent the tabs on the steering.I wish I had a xtra radio to take apart and see why some work great and some work like crap

if he pulled it apart and bent the tabs for steering all he did was adjust the tension that was being put on the board by the steering wipers.
what kind of issues are you having that you are wanting to upgrade?

sometimes it stops turning i have 3 cars and one radio and they all do the same thing it has to be the radio.well i have 2 now try to put a new crystal in my street that went to crapola.Can it be im using a old rechargable battery in the radio.Also i always have to adjust the steering when i turn the cars on

the adjusting the steering whenever you first drive a car is a common thing. the radios don't retain settings. whenever they get powered off they are back to 0. it does sound like a radio issue. i would look into getting a new remote and trying that.

Also better to use "normal" alkaline batteries in the radio they give more power than rechargables = better range and control :-)
