Did you like buy that hindge at a hardware store? it is metal. Yes goldfish... Nice job. And that hood isn't carbon fiber it is plastic but has a carbon fiber look to it.

ye i wanna know were u got the hinge?...cuz its metal! n i wanna hinge my hood cuz its easy!!!!

I like the hinge kits that are plastic, (less weight) I am not sure if the ones you used are heavy but they look it. Nice job though

heh i got the hinge from walmart along time ago for a school project.....i superglued the hinge to the hood then put the hinge ontop of the frame and made to marks with a marker then made two holes in the plastic with a hobby knife and the screws i used threaded the holes for me and ta dah its done...then there was a lil quarter inch thick support plastic beam under the hood and i cut it off for a better view of the front end of a car ima pick up a lil fake engine and put it in there -----------------------

ALso i put some superglue in the movin part on the hinge so its not real loose and it stays down by itself just make sure you use flat headed screws!!!

I am going to do a hindge kit on mine where the hood swings open like double doors using minature magnets glued on to the hood to hold it down while im racing

i dont see why u would whant to put a hing on the hood and then race it, i took the body kit of my skyline to cut wheight.

i have a acura rsx with a split hood.it opens right down the middle and goes to the sides.
