Default xmod rollbar

i was thinking of making a roll cage for my xmod so i can make it looks like a racing car/truck. has anybody ever done this before? if so could you tell me the cheapest way of doing it. household items?

I suggest getting a model car with a roll bar in it and just paint it and glue it on or make it fit.

heres the best idea I have ever seen done. take a nascar model car and put that roll cage into your xmod. but if you are making it out of home made stuff i would probably suggest solder you can melt it together and its pliable enough to shape to any xmod body

It's not exactly realistic when you hit something and the whole roll cage bends in half.

it all depends on the look you want... if your lookin for a full body on a truck you got some moddin to do... and it would be rather pointless in a car because theres a body covering the cage itself... but like i said... it depends on your style...

Its not realistic that these go about 280mph at scale speed either.

I think sweating brass tubing together is the best idea, but putting a roll cage/bar in a xmod is like putting a full roll cage in civic or pinto.

It's not a nerf bar either, as those are the bars at the bottom of the truck (where the running boards would be).
http://www.truckaddons.com/Catalog/s...ccessories.asp

It's a light bar, though some people actually call them roll bars:
http://www.truckaddons.com/Catalog/roll_bars.htm
Of course, they are NOT roll bars like REAL roll bars inside cars or full roll cages, since they aren't designed to keep the truck from crushing in. They are really just for looks and for mounting lights.

There is also a headache rack, which looks like this:
http://www.truckaddons.com/Catalog/headache_racks.htm
They are called headache racks, because they keep stuff in your bed from smashing through your rear window and hitting you in the head (giving you a headache).

like i stated earlier... it would be rather pointless... the body would cover the cage so it would just be more unnecisary weight...
