Post problem with motor

hi, i just got me an atomic standard motor and i am having some problems.
When i put it in and tried to go forwad it just moves a tiny inch then stops,
but then i tried it in reverse and i started to go but it was slow.

After all of this i took it out and put back in my stage 2 and it worked just fine and was faster. What is the problem? could someone please help thanks.

p.s. (generation 1 chassies)

How many teeth does the Standard motor have and the stage two? Make sure your using the right bevel gear for each pinion gear. I had a problem like that but after I put the right bevel gear it was all good.

very unlikely but it could be the motor itself.
